Nestled in the Lintah Strait between Rinca and Komodo islands, Padar Island is undoubtedly the most photographed destination in Komodo National Park. Its dramatic hills and sweeping bays with three distinct colored beaches — white, pink, and black — create a surreal landscape that looks like it belongs in a painting.
The highlight of any Padar visit is the trek to the island's summit. The hike takes approximately 30-45 minutes depending on your fitness level, and while it can be challenging in the tropical heat, the panoramic views from the top are absolutely worth every step. From the peak, you'll see the famous three bays stretching out below you, each with a different colored sand beach.
Sunrise treks are the most popular choice, with the golden light illuminating the bays creating magical photo opportunities. Our 4D3N Lombok→Bajo and 4D4N Bajo→Lombok routes include early morning Padar visits specifically for this experience.
